The Bethel Lutheran Church in Templeton, CA, is a 120 year old historic brick building that was in need of seismic retrofitting. Working closely together with engineers, Charlie Main and his team reinforced the existing roof structure and roof to wall connections.
Following the San Simeon earthquake, The Main Company returned to fix an exterior wall that had cracked. This repair required that the beautiful stained glass windows in the Church would be replaced and that the complex curved dome over the pulpit would be rebuild. During the entire retrofitting and repair activities, the Church remained open to the congregation for worship.
